swipeClean — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 August 2026

swipeClean helps you review and delete photos on your iPhone or iPad. Your photos never leave your device. They are not uploaded, copied, or transmitted to us or to anyone else. swipeClean has no server of its own and we operate no backend that receives your data.

Your photos

swipeClean asks for access to your photo library so it can show you your photos one at a time and delete the ones you choose. All of this happens on your device. Deletions go through iOS's own confirmation dialog, so nothing is ever removed without you approving it.

We never receive, store, or transmit your photos, videos, or any information contained in them.

Advertising

swipeClean is free and displays banner advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To serve those ads, Google may collect and process information from your device, including advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about how you interact with ads.

This data is collected by Google, not by us. We do not receive it and we cannot identify you from it. Google's handling of this information is governed by Google's Privacy & Terms.

Tracking permission

On iOS, swipeClean asks whether you want to allow tracking across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device.

Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, swipeClean shows you a consent form, provided through Google's User Messaging Platform, before any personalised advertising is requested. You can review or change your choices at any time from Settings → Privacy Options inside the app.

Removing ads

swipeClean offers a one-time in-app purchase that removes all advertising. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not see or store your payment details. Once purchased, no further ad requests are made from the app.

Sign in with Apple

Signing in is optional and is only used to preserve your usage statistics if you delete and reinstall the app. If you choose to sign in, swipeClean stores the anonymous user identifier Apple provides, on your device and in your iCloud Keychain. We do not receive your name or email address, and this identifier is never sent to us.

You can delete this at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the app, which erases the stored identifier and the statistics backed up with it.

Usage statistics

swipeClean keeps counts of how many photos you have kept, deleted, and swiped, along with the storage space freed. These are stored on your device, and in your iCloud Keychain if you are signed in with Apple. They are shown only to you. We collect no analytics of any kind.

Children

swipeClean is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
